Harry Lane Wurster - Conversational Mixed Media Art
Harry Lane Wurster - Conversational Mixed Media Art

Before retiring from my public relations job, I would periodically read Emile Zola's statement on creativity hanging on my office wall. "If you ask me what I came to do in this world... I will answer you: I am here to live out loud."

1997 I picked up a paint brush and began my journey, painting out loud and outside the box.

As a self-taught artist I follow the words of Pablo Picasso: "I am always doing that which I cannot do, in order that I may learn how to do it."

I want my work to speak of the social and spiritual aspects of my life experiences. Jean-Michel Basquiat said it best: I don't think about art when I'm working, I try to think about life."

My work presently includes approximately 300 pieces of conversational, mixed media art, many of which have been shown solo and in group exhibits. For more information or to see more of my work, email hlwurster@gmail.com.
